Research Applications
- CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) that activates the GHRH receptor to stimulate pulsatile GH secretion from the anterior pituitary; the compound Affinity Complex (DAC) covalently links the peptide to albumin, extending its circulating half-life to approximately 8 days in pharmacokinetic studies.
- Used in research on the GH–IGF-1 axis to evaluate sustained GHRH receptor activation, including effects on GH pulse amplitude and IGF-1 output over chronic dosing windows.
- An investigational tool for modeling age-related decline in GH secretion and for studying anabolic and body-composition endpoints in rodent and primate studies.
- Its albumin-associated long circulation makes it a useful reference for understanding how peptide half-life extension strategies alter receptor exposure and downstream endocrine responses.
