- Glutathione (gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine) is the principal intracellular thiol antioxidant that maintains cellular redox homeostasis.
- Used in oxidative stress research to study reactive oxygen species scavenging, glutathione peroxidase/transferase pathways, and depletion–repletion models in vitro and in vivo.
